Phew, im happy I live in the 21rst century! Life SEEMS easier. But then again, could our life be harder than theirs? Its hard to determine if so... because when you think abut it, the early men had to hunt for their food and put their lives in danger. But then again, With all this technology, are we COMPLICATING our lives? I dont know;

Im tired, im going to eat some cotton candy.

What makes Kuala-Lumpur a civilization?

There are many things that make Kuala Lumpur a civilization. An important thing is people. People constitute civilizations. We are the ones who form them in the first place. Human beings are the founders of communities, villages, town etc.

Another that makes K-L a civilization is the government. We have prime ministers, ministers, government secretaries, Kings and Queens too! They are very important because they decide over the law. Law and order keeps our communities together, members of the Government represent us in an other way. They create taxes, some consider it as an act of theft. Others realise that these taxes are litteraly going back to them, as taxes finance hospitals and other community necessities.
Government is very important as it is a leader but not a dictator. I civilization needs someone to lead them, someone who will fight for them when the people will not have the power to.
for a civilization to function properly, the government has to be EFFICIENT. A dictatural reign will destroy its own people, Burma is an example of that.

Technology is one of the biggest thing to make k-L a civilization. Technology is anything, going from the twin towers all the way the rubber bands. Technology creates TRANSPORTATION for us. It gives us Bycicles, for people who cants afford cars or who cant be bothered to drive. Technology gives us cars for people that need to get to a place quickly and for people who cant ride bikes. Technology created trucks to carry large amounts of objects, food, material etc. It gives us lorries to transport injured people and citizens who are ill. It also gives us monorails and trains, buses too. Techonology relates to so many of subjects that make a civilization.

Technology also supports us in our constant research! Techonology makes a civilization advance. It supplies K-L with computers, factory machines, radios, microphones, Psp's etc.

Technology helps hospitals with the cardiac calculating machines etc.

Art also makes K-L a civilization, the beautiful batik , the paintings, the types of entertainment, Malysian theaters etc.

You may not this so , but I believe cultural diversity makes Kuala-lumpur the civilization is is, i think its also the mix of people. THe difference creates a community. The people mix, this creates a civilization.

FOOd makes Kuala-Lumpur a civilization: Nasi lemak , Rendang etc. The mixes of different kinds of food make KL a civilization.

The structure of KL also make it a civilization, the twin towers, the Maxis building, the Banks, the restaurants, the factories, the malls etc. The architecture of the places. The different monuments. The special details about KL.

All of these relate to another thing, jobs. CEO's, workers, builders, designers, waiters, architects, constructors, agents, lawyers, doctors and nurses and MORE!

Communication makes KL a civilization. The way we speak to each other. HOW we speak to each other. What do we do to transmit our thoughts and opinions to others? how to we share ideas?

Bahasa, Tamil, Chinese, English, Philipino etc. Our languages.

But this all relates to one thing EDUCATION.

Without education, we would have none of this, no jobs no buildings no government, no NOTHING. We wouldnt have any hospitals, clinics, doctors, surgeons, theaters, no languages, NO COMMUNICATION. Education saves us, gets us ready for life. Education is the glue that KEEPS a civilization together. Education, wethers its school, Universities, College, Books, Internet etc.

We have to be able to LEARN to be able to ACHIEVE.

Yes, everyday, at least 200 pets are killed or maimed. Today, watching the S.P.C.A presentation made me think about who we are as people. It made me wonder about the atrocities commmited by mankind.
We who fight for democracy, for peace, for respect and EQUALITY, we treat animals this way. We think ourselves superior, we belive we are already fare and kind. But after all, humans are the cruelest of all animals.

Do you see a seal throwing an axe at a guy's head because he wants a coat? Do you see an elephant killing a man for earring and jewellery? Do you see a dog torturing a human by hanging him in the backyard? Have you seen a cat microwave a man?

NO.
We need action. S.P.C.A is helping us accomplish that, people come in everyday to care for stray animals, to look for abused animals. We need to help them.

The action starts NOW.

With the help of S.P.C.A... we can make it!

One of my favourite Andy Warhol pictures.

girlz rule!

girlz really do rule, even before, with the opression and inferiority to men, women (girlz) fought back. SUFRAGETTES for example. also, On August 6, 1926, Gertrude Ederle, who was still a teenager, became the first woman to swim the English Channel. Not only did she swim the channel, but she broke the speed record held by a man. we rule!!!!

jello fact

A bowl of lime Jell-O, when hooked up to an EKG machine, exhibited movements virtually identical to the brain waves of a healthy adult man or woman.

did you know that metrophobia is the Fear of: poetry

sweat it off!

The average adult loses 540 calories with every liter of sweat.

so much water!!!!

Swimming pools in the United States contain enough water to cover the city of San Francisco with a layer of water about 7 feet deep. Another major quake could also produce the same result.
